Latitude 2018

Latitude festival 12th - 16th July 2018

This was the line up for the festival this year!!

So, as it's been exactly  a week since returning from LATITUDE I thought it was only right to do a NEW BLOG POST!
I was originally going to do a vlog to go with this but it was such a hectic weekend that I didn't get the chance to record anything.. but next year I promise I will do a vlog to go with the blog as well.

Festivals are always known for a weekend full of music and entertainment and mostly camping!
This was my FIRST ever festival! For a 23 year old I thought it was about time I should think about going to some to be able to say I've actually gone to at least one during my life. But I didn't go with friends. I went with my auntie Stef and of course my mum. I debated for a long time if it's right to go with my mum as most people would of with their friends that are the same age, but I was surprised at how much fun I was having with my mum and auntie and I think it made it that extra bit special knowing that they was with me too.

So on the 12th we filled up my auntie campervan with all of our bags, luckily she could still see out the back with the amount of stuff we brought with us. Off we set on our long road trip to Suffolk. My nan had given my auntie one CD to listen to which had 3 discs and it was the NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A MILLION! This cd had such a different range of songs to musical ones to the one hit wonders and a few of my favourite the Spice Girls songs. So there was definitely some carpool karaoke going on that's for sure!! But honestly if people say they never sing in the car at all they are not to be trusted! as they are most likely lying!

We arrived at our campsite as it was marked off for people that was camping with just tents or people with caravans but with children and we was in the general campervans section. Our set up only took 45 minutes to put up and we was done. Blue peter moment coming up -- this is what it looked like...

And this was my bed set up. Of course there had to be a giraffe pillow :)

In the arena there was different sections such as you had the main stage for all the bands and the headliners for the evening, then you had a comedy area, poetry, BBC music stage, Theatre.. there was honestly something there for anyone that if you didn't like who was on you could go to another area. We mostly spend our weekends in the comedy and main stage arena as most of the people we wanted to see were there.
Luckily every different area had massive signs to say what they were so if anyone in your group got lost you had a meeting point to go to. This came in handy as we was always losing each other.

In these pictures is Joel Dommett, Tom Allen & Matt Richardson. My mum and I after most comedians we was crying of laughter as they was that good. We was so glad we got to see the people we wanted too.

Another thing that was nice was the fact I could go off with auntie when I didn't enjoy something my mum was watching and by surprise we found new bands that we loved the music so much that when I was there I downloaded all the songs and albums of them!!

But who can pass up and opportunity when your with your auntie to have a photoshoot at a festival.

This little blow up giraffe we named Ginny and she was a MASSIVE help whenever someone went to the toilet so we was able to know where we was sitting. I think Ginny had a great time too as she was listening to the music and having a dance to the headliners.

Now i'm going to just post some pictures that sums up the weekend. I made sure that my outfits weren't anything to expensive as I thought I didn't want nice clothes getting ruined if it rained so all of my clothes were from primark and new look. Most of them were bargains! Great place to look for clothes during the festival season!

You will notice in some pictures whenever we saw a music act I wore these ear defenders as obviously because of the brain pressure listening to loud music is a killer so wearing this made the festival bearable and I didn't suffer from a headache that whole weekend.

I cant wait till next year already as they have realised the dates! Bring it on!

Even better as the last night there was a sunset and I thought how such a picture prefect way to end a fantastic weekend.

P.S

I also had a little obsession on buying the reusable latitude cups.. opps!!

See you for the next blog!!

xoxo
