It's the unexpected that changes our lives

Well the last time I left you guys I was getting ready for my week's holiday from work to a spa hotel with one of my best friends!

To say things went exactly to plan would of been a big lie at the end of Pinocchio's nose to say the least.
I say we start at the beginning, it was Monday morning and I had woke up early to get a head start for the day and to make sure I had everything packed as from previous getaways I've always forgotten at least one important thing so luckily this time I had packed everything! Well done me! So I was all set and ready to go and just before I thought Id take a cheeky snapchat picture as you do these days.
I do love this little 101 Dalmatian filter it is truly scrumptious
(sorry couldn't help with the Disney quotes there & if you know where that name is from and you cant say that is truly a classic musical you have been living under a rock)

So we thought we would get some like snacks and some drink as it was our week off so we thought we would celebrate it in style so we popped over to Asda and as it was still quite early I suggested to maybe get a cooked breakfast as we wouldn't be eating till late that night as we was driving up there and looking around so we ate our breakfast first and then walked around the shop, fair to say the summer isle in asda is amazing seeing all the summery colours and all the picnic stuff really does put you into the summer mood!
To say we might of brought to much would of been a understatement I think!
& the kerplunk was £10 a bargin and I absolutely loved that game as a child so I thought we might as well play a few games whilst we was getting ready for the nights out! So the trip to our hotel was around 50 minutes away which is good for something that gets quite bad travel sickness. We drove around for a bit and then went back to the hotel to get ready for the night out! We had poured ourselves a glass of wine each and then we played a drinking game with the apple sours which to be honest was quite fun other than myself losing so I had to take the most shots! Just before we went out we took a few photos to capture the first night of going out... the weather was so hot as well so I couldn't decide on what to wear but I went for a floral boob tube top from Matalan and a skirt from Primark.
Also had to get that snapchat filter in too! opps!
We then booked a taxi to go out and whilst waiting we took another picture which I must say I think is the best one from the whole getaway!
We took this picture at 6 minutes past 8 in the evening ..... to ever think that the whole getaway would be flipped upside down in the case of 24 minutes I would never of guessed!

The next 24 minutes was an absolute blur now I think about it! I wont go into detail but as soon as we got to pizza express within the next 30 minutes Gemma and I were being rushed to hospital in a ambulance! Not the evening I was after, the night was a rather long one as one doctor was saying one thing and other doctor was saying the complete opposite! Annoying or what!?!?!?

But the worst thing of that whole experience was the fact we was away and my parents were back home and because it was so late it wasn't that easy to just get in the car and drive to me. But to be honest I had all the help I need and support right next to me! Gemma was AMAZING the whole time through the hospital stay, she made me worry less when things weren't looking good to holding my hand through all the pain. I couldn't fault her at all and keeping my parents updated with the news once we knew anything. It nice to know if anything does happen as bad as what did I would have her by my side! We wasn't seen for quite a while so our came the snapchat to keep us company and entertain us and we tired eye-spy but because we didn't know the proper name for anything it was hard to get the right answers! :P

I think the worst part was definitely having to wear one of those so attractive hospital gowns! When your put in one of those you know your in for the long haul!
After a long night we was allowed home to be told we had to go back the next day for a ultrasound! Time for another snapchat selfie!
So we got my news on was actually wrong with me after 24 hours of being in the dark, with my pcos syndrome both my ovaries had developed cysts and my left one had a haemorrhage on it and that I had to be very careful on what I done for the next few weeks. little did I know that I would actually be off work for a whole month until I have my next ultrasound to check if its gone or not. Its rather boring to look at the same 4 walls the all day every day"
But on Wednesday we had booked a spa day which was great as I was able to just relax on a swimming worm and just float there which helped the pain in my tummy and then we had our massages and facials. We then had Afternoon tea which is lovely!

So now siting here on the 15th of july in bed with a hot water bottle and loads of antibiotics and pain killers is no way of fun in my books.

From my quote from my last blog post was
Things happen for a reason
I'm kinda still waiting to find out why this thing happened for as its completely blown me for 6 because I honestly cant think of a positive side to this... If more than anything its made me worry more about my condition :/

Well lets just say it was a eventful getaway not one that we had planned but we came out with a stronger friendship and a few scars and plasters but it was fun just to be away from everything... so moral of the story, if things don't go to the way you plan, don't worry so much as things will get better or just find a way to adjust to what your side track may be!
I hope everyone is looking forward to their summer holidays as they are coming up soon!

This is louloubell signing for a few weeks to recover and get back to write some blogs on some new adventures!

Thank you if you've read all of this! It means the world to me!

Thank you!
xoxo

Things happen for a reason

Woah! Didn't realise I hadn't done a blog post since April and it's now the 5th of June! Where has the time gone?!?! They do say time flies by when your having fun! It definitely has been a quite interesting few months to say the least, from family fun, relationship dramas and friendships.

The quote that I've been saying since the beginning of this year is ....

"Things happen for a reason"

This quote surprisingly helped me through a lot this year and it's good that something I've said to myself as actually boosted my confidence as well as not let me slip back into my depression which I'm glad I've managed to get that under control.

To be honest I think one of the best things that's happened to me was getting a promotion at work to become a deputy! Made myself proud as I'm not the best person with interviews and being put on the hot seat as they call it sometimes proved that I knew stuff rather than studying paper work the night before and have everything clear in my mind but it did feel good actually thinking about things and what I didn't think I knew.

But on the bad side I guess having a break up and trying to deal with that I thought I wasn't going to take well but it was actually made me better which I was quite shocked about how I took it as I thought I would of the usual break up weeks after watching romance movies, stuffing my face with chocolate and ice cream and just shutting people out, but I was fine and back to my normal self the day after it all happened, like I told everyone I had my little cry on the day and that was it out of my system as I didn't want to dwell on the fact if I over thought it I would make myself worse so I didn't I just thought of positive things and my little quote and thought i'm hoping this would be a good reason to why it happened! I'm still waiting for the good bit to come but i'm happy which is the main thing.

Sometimes thinking what to write in a blog if you haven't gone on holiday or have any days out is harder than you think as you don't want to write about just anything... to be honest its my 1st day off for the week and I was so happy the fact I didn't have to set my alarm to wake up early and I didn't let myself down and woke up just before 12 but to be fair I probably did need as I got rather badly sunburnt last Tuesday on my back and shoulders so I wasn't able to sleep properly with the pillow and cover touching it so I would be getting 3/4 hours sleep a night and then going to do a 10-12 hour shifts.. probably wasn't the best idea in the world! Opps! As I was saying its one of those days where you just don't feel up to doing anything as much as its lovely weather outside, I just want to sit on the sofa in my pj's with a cup of tea and lots of catching up on my favourite tv series ... What's your favourite so far? always looking for something new to watch??

1 thing i'm mostly looking forward to this month is my week off at the end of the month as my best friend and I are off to a spa hotel for 3 days and 2 nights! It is SOOOOO definitely needed that's for sure! You can't go wrong with a nice getaway especially if it includes massages and wine. We decided to plan a getaway as the last time we went away was in 2014 which to me only seemed like a couple of years ago but it was more so we thought well if we stayed in the UK and just go a little outside our area so we are technically away but not to far if anything happens, so we looked up places and we found our little hotel we are staying at and Gemma did a good job at picking somewhere nice in Tunbridge wells which I have never actually been to before so it'll be like she is my little tour guide which I'm sure she'll enjoy!

Sorry about having a random blog which isn't the same as the others but I've got a few new pictures I might upload to a new blog post later.

Hope if anyone is every feeling down just to remember to pick themselves back up because as long as your happy within yourself you can achieve anything you believe in!

Speak soon !

Were going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo? How about you, you you?

Zoo Day Out!

When ever anyone mentions going to the zoo or anywhere that involves animals I am ALL there especially if they have giraffes there too! As they are my favourite animal of all time! But also makes me remember the children's old nursery rhyme about going to the zoo. I have the bad memory but I can easily remember things that happened well over 10 years ago! Opps!

So one day off we decided to go to Colchester Zoo! We had heard its a fantastic zoo and as we had been to Port lympne and Marwell Zoo and Monkey world we thought we should do this one. So the drive wasn't to bad actually but for someone that doesn't do well with travel I just slept most of the way there and back so it cut out more than half of the journey for me! Thank god! So when we got there, the zoo had just opened, luckily we booked online the day before and got % off the tickets as we pre-booked and done it online so we went to the station to pick the tickets up! So we walked through the entrance and to my surprise was a massive silver giraffe, I straight away took a picture of it! I could go on and on about how our day went but as I took so many pictures I might as well just show you a few of those, as they do say a picture speaks louder than words!

To top it off I got to FEED A GIRAFFE!!!
To anyone that knows me, know this is a big thing for me! 1 THING TICKED OF MY BUCKET LIST FOR SURE!!

But for anyone who is thinking of going out for the day to a zoo, this is the best place to be! Would recommend it to anyone! Thank you for the view & I hoped you liked the pictures!

Will post another blog soon as had an idea for one but wasn't to sure when to post it!
Talk soon!

Feeling like i'm 22

Everything will be alright, if we just keep dancing like were 22

Got to love when birthdays come around! They are of course one of my favourite times of the year other than Christmas and Halloween of course!!

As my birthday fell on a Tuesday this year it kind of restricted of what I could do for party ideas or meals out.
So my mum the whole week before kept saying we've got a surprise for you! As much as I love surprises I'm the type of person that likes to know times and plans on a day as it sets off my anxiety so I generally like to be planned at least a week in advanced which some people find absolutely crazy!  But there's nothing wrong with being organised! I even set out of side cabinet to be able to have my things set out all neat just in case I needed them!

So the day of my birthday finally arrived and annoyingly I went to bed early the night before and stupidly woke up at 3 in the morning, which I must say was not the best idea in the world! But luckily I managed to fall back to sleep and woke up around 8 ish! That's a bonus to me!!

Downstairs I went to find all my birthday cards and presents and even a massive bunch on flowers on the dining room table. That was my first surprise:
Got to admit it must be our tradition in our family to leave the price sticker on the back of the cards! So I thought I'd quickly give mum one more chances to tell me what she had planned but nope she would not say anything! So I opened to card to find this!!!!

I was so amazed and happy because I haven't had a proper massage in a long time and with my shoulders,I SOOO needed one! First of all I needed to get my nails re done as they were looking worse for wears so I went down to a nail salon down town and got them re done and painted into a nude colour which was
I choose this O.P.I colour as have never had O.P.I product before but thought I'm not one to have bright colours so when i saw this Barefoot Barcelona colour I fell in love straight away!

We then went onto the Bannatyne spa in Hastings we checked our self's in and grab the bags they give out to get into our swimming costumes to hit the pool and do a few lengths and sit in the hot tub! Definitely good chance to get a quick selfie in the bathrobes.
We done our swimming and relaxing and it was about an hour to our massage so we thought we might as well get something to eat which ended up being afternoon cream tea which includes a scone, jam, butter, clotted cream and a big pot of tea. You can't go wrong with a good scone and strawberry jam!

You must say the slippers are just the sexiest things in the world :P

We then came home and my auntie and my little cousins came round and we celebrate with a KFC birthday meal which I must say made a big difference to going out when I could just sit at home in my pj's not having to worry about how I looked to go out for the meal.

These girls of course made my night even better that's for sure! Hearing them run into the front room shouting "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEMA!!"

So my birthday went past and I planned a night out with my 2 best friends to go bowling in Eastbourne David Lloyd centre! I must say for a Saturday night out it wasn't expensive at all! We played 4 games in total and all 3 of us won at least 1 game but Hollie won the last game and got the highest score of the night which was 124! Go Hollie!!!

Here's a few pictures of the night:
<-- This whole plate of food only cost us £11.95 BARGIN!!

So over the night we managed to get through 2 bottles of rose wine and 4 games of bowling and walked quite straight to the train station but the night was amazing! So thank you girls for coming and making it an amazing 22nd birthday for me!

Hope when every your birthday is you guys have a fantastic day too!!

Will post another blog soon!

Much love

Emmielou
