It's beginning to look alot like christmas 🎄⛄️🎄⛄️🎄

Who knew that December would of come round so quickly!

You always here everyone saying where's the time gone? and its so true, feels like the year has gone past so quickly! Not that I'm complaining, Christmas is my favourite part of the year!

It's true what they say about Christmas :

There no short of Christmas spirit in my family home, we are still firm believers of Father Christmas and we don't let anyone tell us different. It spoils the true magic of Christmas. We may be old fashioned but we still have all the foil ceiling decorations and its very strange for it to be Christmas and not have them in the house. Over board is one word to describe what my family goes inside our house. Definitely looks like Santa's grotto in our front room.
We always get one of our family members to decorate the fire place with things out of her garden which always turns out every year amazing! These two little Santa's were presents for us so they now sit on either end of the fireplace every year to make them cosy, but even better they both sing different Christmas songs. So this year we extend our little singing family and brought 2 new ones.
We have Ginger the cat who sings what ever you plug into him and Ruth the Reindeer who sings sleigh ride and the little penguins in his little toy sack sing in a high pitched voices which is adorable to say the least.
This is our fireplace this year:
For the first year in what feels like forever my parents are going to be giving me a Christmas stocking to open when I wake up.
So mum and I went out shopping as we didn't have one, so I went for a plain but vintage look which less is more I think. But every year without doubt I give my cat his little Christmas stocking that has new toys in and little treats things like that.
So we went with the cutest little design for him. We dress him up every year for Christmas day to make him look handsome, so this year we went out and brought him a new little outfit.
 Last year

This year we decided to go with the classic little bow tie.

We only recently got our Christmas tree as we haven't had a fake one for a few years now as we love the whole new tradition as a family to go and pick a real Christmas tree and having it in the front room the smell is to die for!
Every year we change the colour of the tree so one year we had gold and then the next year we have silver. This year happens to be gold so the angel is on top of the tree.

Plain but simple :D

My room this year is definitely been made into Christmas which I've never done before but it makes me happier this year.

I have my own little wreath on my bedroom door which also lights up with a Santa wreath door hanger.

This gives a really cute effect when there's no lights on in the house which is really cute.
I also have the Christmas bedding and pillows to match.
Keeping it with the plain and simple effect this stag duvet set was £22 from TJHudges which I think is a bargain as the material is thick and so cosy to snuggle into. the Reindeer pillows were £8 each or 2 for £10 so of course I had to get 2 of them.

My mum brought me a cinema light box last month which everyday i'm changing the quote on it to inspire me for the day ahead. So with Christmas coming up and myself being so busy at work I've just keep the same quote on it as it looks good.
Keeping up the believing in Father Christmas in this house!

Well I better get back to my present wrapping!
I'll do a blog later in the week of different ideas on wrapping presents and little gift ideas.

Hope you are all getting ready for Christmas day!

Only 13 sleeps left!!

Capital's Jingle Bell Ball 2016 🎤

Capital's Jingle Bell Ball 2016

What an amazingly experience this night was!!

We've been hearing about this concerts for a few years as capital host a summer time ball and a jingle bell ball twice a year. Different artists & dj's perform here and make it such a great night out.

So as soon as we heard the Jingle bell was coming up soon, I rushed to my mum and said WE NEED TO GO!!! She was up for it and who better than to go with than my mum. As since she started her new job we rarely see each other as she works away during the week and is home only a few weekends a month so I took the opportunity to spend a weekend in London with her.

So as December was approaching we was debating whether to go to the Saturday or Sunday performance, I must say what a big decision this was.... !!!!

After capital FM released the dates of what night the concert would be on, they started to name what acts were on during both nights...

We had decided Saturday night would of been better as you think to yourself the acts of the first night must be great. All the acts were announced and to our surprise on the Saturday night all the people we wanted to see was performing that night! Definitely was a Christmas miracle. As I wanted to see Olly Murs & little mix and mum wanted to see Craig David and Calvin Harris. It was meant to be!
So this was the line up for the Saturday night.....

Was most likely the best line up they could of had really...
I also brought a goodie bag when we brought the tickets as I thought it was a nice little keep sake for the whole weekend.

This bundle I brought for £20. This included the bag, programme and a lanyard.

I took quite a few pictures so i'll just so a selected few now as my camera was able to capture most of it but because the music was so loud my camera speakers may of blown, oopppies

Was honestly the best way to start the count down to Christmas by far!!

So if your just sitting at home thinking what to do, go onto youtube and type capital jingle bell ball in and yourll be amazed at how brilliant every performer was!

Hope you enjoyed! Next blog coming very very soon.....

🎃🎃 Trick or treat 🎃🎃

Happy Halloween

Halloween is definitely my 2nd favourite season of the year, that is after Christmas of course!!

I love the fact you can feel spooky and the whole witching hour and all the spirts come out to play, definitely sends the chills down my spine. There's people out there that might not believe in ghosts and all that but the people that do Halloween is the way to express their way to the spirts.

The best thing about Halloween has surely got to be the decorations and dressing up! As much as I'm classed as an adult, there is no age limit on dressing up and enjoying it! So this Halloween I managed to get my mum to dress up which rarely happens, as we had been invited to my auntie's Halloween party at her caravan park. My dad was dressed up as a Beetlejuice which is his favourite movie of all time so every year he is the same!

I was dressed up as Nancy from Oliver, any old excuse to go around singing Oom-pah-pah! My mum wasn't exactly feeling to great so she couldn't wear the costume she wanted to wear so luckily we just had a quick doctors apron and set that she put over her clothes but she still managed to look good in it.

This year I thought I would make a bruise on my face to make it realistic which I never thought after a few bits of lipstick and eye shadow and lip balm it would look really as I had more than a few people ask me how I got it and if I fell over or not. As most of my family know I'm quite accident prone to the max! Every year I put fake blood on what I like to call my Harry Potter scar that I got when I was 3 from falling up the stairs and slicing my head open! When my mum came home and looked at the final product she couldn't look at me properly as she said it looked exactly like it was 18 years ago. I said I would take that as a compliment. Here's what it looked like.

It took over 8 face wipes to get it off in the end, and all of dad's face paints took over 12 face wipes.

Also with work we had a Halloween promo for our machines which could only mean one thing to me, !!DECORATE THE STORE!!! My expert decorating skills were put to the test. But not blowing my own trumpet my shop looked amazingly great and spooky. Here's a few pictures of what it looked like:

Of course we couldn't have Halloween decorations without a pumpkin!

I also decorated our house which looked good but stupidly didn't take any pictures of it! Duhhh
But my dad and I splashed fake blood all over windows and placed my hands in some of it to make it look like we've trapped people in the house! We also put do not enter banners over the door with fake blood there too.

I must say opening the door to all the children dressed up was so cute! We went through 3 massive tins of sweets, I swear their multiplying every year! I'm not lying when I saw every time a child would knock on the door and say trick or treat I would give them the sweets and shut the door again and not even given the chance to sit back on the sofa before the door knocked again. Busy busy night that's for sure.

But over all it was definitely a good Halloween this year. So I hope you all had a great night too and got loads of sweets & candy!

But once Halloween is over only means one thing!

1 MONTH TILL CHRISTMAS!!!!!

I couldn't help and went out yesterday and brought some Christmas decorations and more presents. But with my cat Garfield I saw a cat jumper and of course I couldn't pass on not buying that. He looked adorable! I also got him a little bow tie to wear on Christmas day too!

So I hope you enjoyed this Halloween Blog. Will do another soon!
This is me signing out for today!

Racing days out

Whether it Ascot, Plumpton, Brighton or Lingfield horse / dog racing is definitely worth going for a night out or day out with the family.

My family has grown up around betting shops and horse racing as my mum has been a manager of a bookie shop for nearly 20 years. So since I was little we have been to yearly meetings at the race course and have learnt a few tricks along the years. As she has recently been promoted I left my job and have seen started working at Betfred which happens to be that I get to work in the shop she used to be the manager of.

Yearly meetings consist of Royal ascot, grand national, Cheltenham, ladies day and Oktoberfest, and many more.

This year we have been to over 5 different festivals alone which is great because it gave me an excuse to buy a new dress as I find it weird to wear the same dress every time we go to the races.

This is a panorama picture of Ascot which I took last week, the race course is massive and there's no jumps at this course, so its just flat. The weather wasn't exactly to great as it was raining the whole way up to the course and walking to the front doors. It takes roughly around 2 hours to get there from where we live.

This was the outside of the entrance, it was done up for Oktoberfest. I never get to tired or bored of looking at this as the pictures I take every year seem to be in the exact spot or exact location. Last year we was in the premier section which is upstairs and what we like to call the "posh" people bit. We love going up here because yet again it gives me another excuse to buy and even posher dress. Any old excuse to go dress shopping! :D

This was the view from standing right at the top and the end.
I always try and get the same picture every year so we can see how much we have changed over a year, and its fun to look back and see how different we looked. I take one this certain picture with my dad as he definitely photogenic.
This was us from
                                       2014           and       2015

and this was from this year
Definitely changed over the years that's for sure. But the one thing I loved the most from this year was actually being able to get a proper family picture of mum, dad and myself which we had done the year before as well.
 This was 2015
And this was 2016.

We also went to plumpton for my 21st which was a great experience as I managed to win every race but 1 which was amazing for my purse.

This day was only my dad my grampa and myself as my mum was too poorly to make the day which was upsetting but we talked during the day.

Having a best friend who is a hair dresser comes in handy big time as I was managed to get her to do my hair all pretty to go out as thought I deserved a nice pamper on my actual birthday.

We then went to Plumton's ladies day which was amazing.

This was my hair I just quickly done as we was on a quick get ready time.

This dress is from the studio 24 online for £19.99 which I thought was a great bargain.

This was us at Brighton dogs race course. We normally go here monthly as we get a package which includes the entry, race card, free bet and a free basket food meal which is a great deal.

So if your celebrating a birthday or Christmas or any occasion racing is a great idea if you can get a good deal with the course online....

Any excuse to get your glab rags on..

Next post coming soon, sorry I haven't posted as much as been none stop working so tomorrow i'm glad ive got a whole day off. Which I will be spending Halloween shopping! :D can't wait!!
